It’s always exciting when a new baseball treasure is found, even if you’re not the owner or recipient of that treasure. It’s even better when it’s a treasure that can be shared or appreciated by others, like old video footage!
In this case, the footage is an instructional film on how to bat and pitch (or in the case of Cobb and Ruth, probably how NOT to hit). It’s interesting to see the differences in style, stance and bat grip between Cobb and Ruth. Clearly a sign of how the hitting game evolved.
