The 1934 Japan Games Collection
Here is Julia Ruth Stevens’ personal collection of photos from her 1934 trip around the world with Claire, Babe and the American All-Stars team. Many fans are not as aware of this very special tour and that it was a key to further igniting the passion of Japanese fans for baseball. It also helped lead to the creation of professional baseball leagues in Japan. As you look at these photos, note all of the superstars that were part of this 1934 traveling team. We’ve also included additional personal family photos, as well as a couple images from the family with other notable figures.
