Dr. Harold Seymour was a legendary baseball historian and the medal is awarded in his honor to the author recognized by the Society for American Baseball Researcher (SABR) for the best historical or biographical baseball book of the prior year. Just to be nominated is a great honor. In addition, Robert’s book is the first to win based on the topic of Japanese/U.S. baseball.
